Granting Apple Health permission

1
On first launch

Daily Mind and Body will ask for Apple Health permission when you first open the app. Tap "Allow" to grant access to workouts and step count.

2
If you skipped the prompt

Go to iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Health → Daily Mind and Body. Toggle on Workouts and Steps.

What data is synced

Daily Mind and Body syncs the following data with Apple Health:

  • Workouts — imported into your daily exercise log. Deduped by UUID so workouts don't appear twice.
  • Step count — your daily steps from iPhone or Apple Watch.

It also writes the following data back to Apple Health automatically when you log it in the app: weight entries (saved to Body Mass) and sleep data (saved to Sleep Analysis). Writes happen automatically once you grant permission — the first time you log sleep, the app will prompt for sleep write access if not already granted.

Troubleshooting

Why aren't my workouts showing up?

Check that you've granted Workouts permission: iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Health → Daily Mind and Body → Workouts (toggle on). Then open the app and pull to refresh the Today view.

How do I revoke Apple Health access?

iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Health → Daily Mind and Body. Toggle off any permissions you want to revoke.

Can I use the app without Apple Health?

Yes — Apple Health is optional. You can log everything manually without granting any Apple Health permissions.
