How do I restore my purchase on a new phone?
Open Daily Mind and Body on your new iPhone and tap Restore Purchase in Settings. Your purchase is tied to your Apple ID — no account required.
Is there a free trial?
There is no free trial. Daily Mind and Body is a one-time purchase of $4.99.
Does Daily Mind and Body sync to iCloud?
Yes — your data syncs privately via your own iCloud using Apple's CloudKit. It syncs across your devices automatically. There is no Daily Mind and Body server — your data goes only to your own iCloud account, which we cannot access.
Is my data backed up?
Yes — your data syncs automatically to your private iCloud via Apple's CloudKit. It is available on any iPhone signed into your Apple ID. To delete your iCloud data, go to Settings → [Your Name] → iCloud → Manage Account Storage → Daily Mind and Body → Delete Data.
What happens if I delete the app?
Deleting the app removes it from your device, but your data remains in your private iCloud. To fully delete all data, go to Settings → [Your Name] → iCloud → Manage Account Storage → Daily Mind and Body → Delete Data.
Can I use the app without Apple Health?
Yes — Apple Health is optional. You can log everything manually without granting any Apple Health permissions.
What data does Daily Mind and Body sync with Apple Health?
Daily Mind and Body reads workouts and step count from Apple Health. It also writes weight entries and sleep data back to Apple Health automatically when you log them in the app — the first time you log sleep, you'll be prompted to grant sleep write access if not already granted.
How do I change my calorie target formula?
Settings → Calorie Target → choose Mifflin-St Jeor, Harris-Benedict, Katch-McArdle, or Manual Target. The change takes effect immediately.
How do I set a manual calorie target?
Settings → Calorie Target → Manual Target → enter your number. The app will use that number as your daily target instead of calculating from your profile.
How do I include or exclude workout calories from my deficit?
Settings → Deficit Calculation → toggle "Include workout calories." When on, logged workout calories increase your daily deficit.
Can I edit the time of a logged entry?
Yes — tap any food, drink, or mind activity entry to open it. A time field lets you adjust when it was logged. Useful for retroactive logging.
Can I customize the stats shown in the daily summary bar?
Yes — long-press the summary bar at the top of the Today view to enter edit mode. Drag tiles to reorder, tap × to remove, or tap + to add from the catalog: Weight, RMR, Consumed, Burned, Deficit, Protein, Fat, Carbs, Exercise Duration, Mind Time, Water.
How do I log a custom food?
Tap + → Food → search for the food. If it's not found, you can enter the nutrition information manually — name, calories, protein, carbs, and fat.
Who built the barcode scanner database?
The barcode scanner is powered by Open Food Facts — a free, open-source nonprofit food database built by volunteers worldwide. We donate 10% of every purchase to Open Food Facts to support their mission.
What if a food isn't in the barcode database?
You'll see a clear message and can log the food manually by entering the nutrition information yourself.
