Daily Mind and Body is designed from the ground up to keep your health data private. There is no server. There is no account. There is no analytics SDK. Every byte of data you enter into the app is stored in your own private iCloud — it is never transmitted to our servers or any third party.
This privacy policy explains what data the app accesses, how it is used, and what happens to it.
We do not collect any data. Daily Mind and Body has no developer server and requires no app account. All data you enter — food logs, exercise logs, weight entries, drink logs, mind activity, goals — is stored in your own private iCloud using Apple's SwiftData with CloudKit. Your data is never transmitted to our servers or any third party.
We do not use any analytics SDK (no Firebase, no Mixpanel, no Amplitude). We do not use any advertising SDK. We do not use any crash reporting service that phones home.
The only network request the app makes is to the Open Food Facts API when you use the barcode scanner to look up a food. That request contains only the barcode number — no personal information, no device identifier, no account information.
Daily Mind and Body can read workout data and step count from Apple Health, if you grant permission. This data is read locally on your device — it is never transmitted anywhere. You can revoke this permission at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Health → Daily Mind and Body.
Daily Mind and Body does not write any data back to Apple Health.
Open Food Facts. When you scan a barcode, the app queries the Open Food Facts API (openfoodfacts.org) with the barcode number. Open Food Facts is a free, open-source nonprofit food database licensed under the Open Database License (ODbL). Their privacy policy is available at openfoodfacts.org. The query contains only the barcode — no personal data.
Apple App Store. Your purchase is processed by Apple. Apple's privacy policy governs that transaction.
No other third parties receive any data from this app.
Your app data is stored in your own private iCloud container (CloudKit). If you delete Daily Mind and Body, the app is removed from your device, but a copy of your data remains in your iCloud account. To fully delete your data, go to Settings → [Your Name] → iCloud → Manage Account Storage → Daily Mind and Body → Delete Data.
Because data syncs via iCloud, it will be available when you reinstall the app or set up a new iPhone signed into the same Apple ID.
Daily Mind and Body is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children.
